Everest Panorama Trek Difficulty

The difficulty level of Everest Panorama Trek is easy to moderate. Anyone with no prior trekking experience can embark on this trek. This trek itinerary is devised by trekking experts and is suitable for all age groups. On a normal day, you will be walking for an average of 5-6 hours, and the trek from Tengboche to Monjo demands 7-8 hours of trekking. If you are physically fit and can walk for a couple of hours on a rugged trail, this trek is doable.

Best Time to Travel

Spring (March to May) and autumn (mid-September to November) are the best seasons to trek in the Everest region. The weather remains dry and clear, granting the stunning views of the mountains. The days are ideal, with good visibility and favorable conditions to trek. During spring, the hillside brims with wildflowers, and the trails are embellished with colorful rhododendron. The autumn season as well features a clear sky, fresh air, and pleasant temperature. Although the rule of thumb is not to trek in winter, this trek is doable in winter.

If you trek around October (autumn), you will have the opportunity to witness and celebrate the Mani Rimdu festival, the most important festival in the Everest region. This festival is held in the monasteries of Tengboche, Chiwong, and Thame.

Altitude Sickness

During the Everest Panorama Trek, the highest point is 3,860m; Tengboche is the highest place you will trek to. The trek starts from Lukla at 2,840m and follows the route to Tengboche at 3,860m. Unlike Everest Base Camp Trek that deals with an altitude of 5,364m, this trek stretches up to an altitude of 3,860m. This signifies that there is less probability of altitude sickness. In addition, the well-designed itinerary entails a slow-paced trekking style that allows your body to adjust to high altitudes gradually.

Please be informed that you should not try to hasten and walk fast. Altitude sickness can occur at altitudes above 2,000m; it is advised to take necessary precautions like staying hydrated, avoiding alcohol, and trekking slowly.

Had Great Time
Efficient response from the company. Patient and answered all queries before departure. Responsible owner and tour guide. They are attentive, my needs were met beyond expectations and I was well taken care of. My guide was patient, helpful, encouraging and supportive during the trek. I informed that I preferred less crowded guesthouse and he was able to accommodate as rest was important at such rough terrains. Overall, it was a memorable adventure for me. I am confident to recommend their service. I had read their guide profile and they have years and years of experience and this was evident when the guide shared little details of the trek, specially places and mountains. His array of networks in the mountains was commendable. Great experience with great company.

Unforgettable Everest Trek
We booked through Third Rock Adventures. Everything went well from airport transfers, comfortable Kathmandu hotel and the trek. They were well organized and catered to the clients needs and best interest at all times. Every day was great and wonderful; thanks to the experienced and attentive guide. We absolutely loved the trek. We passed some larger groups and were thankful to be just a small group to go at your own pace. They are very conscious of the clients health and well-being. It was just a-week adventure but was packed with lots of rewards. All thanks to Naba and his team. Can't thank them enough!
